Nicknames for Science Olympiad

My team just calls it SO. Once I was made fun of for calling it SciOly my first year , because another team in the same district calls it that, and we mock them. People outside of the team call it Science Olympiad as far as I know (no idea what they call it behind my back )

Basically my school says scio, scioly, and Science Olympiad. Nothing special.

I don't think I know any team members that ever called it anything but Scio.

From people who don't know the program, some weird ones come up like Science Olympians, Science Olympics, or just "science club". I tend to refer to it as SO or come up with some other shorthand for individual events. One person on my team calls it "Scioly"...which I haven't warmed up to yet. Scioly is a public forum, not an after school activity.

Erm, we generally call it Science Olympiad. When we don't want to say the whole long two words, we just abbreviate to "SO"...but that's generally it...but then there's the non-science olympiad people who call it the "bunch of people who stay afterschool till 8 pm building things and reading huge textbooks" group

and as for Write it do it-- we call it WIDI (wid-ee) not to mention all the other nicknames we have for events...

Pretty much everyone in the Katy district calls it SciOly I think?
