Last year over 14,000 elementary and secondary teams from the United States and Canada competed in the Science Olympiad program.

Admittedly, they haven't updated that page since 2007, but I guess Canadian teams have participated in Scioly before. I would think they would participate much like the planned Japanese team this year will participate.

Notice at the bottom of the page it says as of 3/14/12. As we indicated before the official 'lock down' is April 1st, but I doubt things will change much between now and then.
