Re: Science Olympiad 2012
Although it doesn't seem to really define the event, does anyone know next year's emphasis for Disease Detectives (like this year's of food borne illness?)

Re: Science Olympiad 2012
I think we have one more year of foodborne illnesses, but I'm not 100% sure on that. This is it's second year on that topic, don't know if it's a two or three year cycle.GoNerdHerd wrote:Although it doesn't seem to really define the event, does anyone know next year's emphasis for Disease Detectives (like this year's of food borne illness?)

The tentative plan is for the topic to be 'Environmental Quality"

On the behalf of my teammates, does this mean that Sounds of Music will be a B only event next year?

I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.

Re: Science Olympiad 2012
Will Water Quality still be on freshwater next year, or will it switch to estuaries? I understand that it will rotate between these two and oceanography, but does it switch every year or every two years?

Re: Science Olympiad 2012
That will be interesting then. I expect we'll be seeing a lot of water- and vector-borne diseases, and probably some amount of focus on non biological contaminants. Should be a cool topic.chalker wrote:French_Toast wrote:I think we have one more year of foodborne illnesses, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
