Re: Materials Science C
This should be a mixture of both. You're not at much of a disadvantage for it being your first year, since this is the first year Materials Science is an event.
East Stroudsburg South Class of 2012, Alumnus of JT Lambert, Drexel University Class of 2017

Oh okay! Thanks :)EASTstroudsburg13 wrote:This should be a mixture of both. You're not at much of a disadvantage for it being your first year, since this is the first year Materials Science is an event.
Really? Judging by the previous posts in this thread, I think they've held this event before. Still, I think it's pretty new compared to the other events. Which probably explains why there aren't many practice tests available...

Re: Materials Science C
Our labs (Region 5 in Missouri ) in this event were:
1. Make a FCC model with marshmallows, straws, and toothpicks.
2. Determine viscosity of various liquids.
We didn't do a lot about the material characterization stuff. We didn't have to chaterize the materials; they just gave us the numbers.

Re: Materials Science C
Any idea when that test could be posted? In NJ we didn't have Materials at Regionals or at States and we got snowed out for all of our invites so I'm really desperate for some practice Materials tests.

Re: Materials Science C
I'm on vacation through the weekend. Not sure if the test is on my laptop (which is with me) or my external hard drive (which isn't). I'll take a look tomorrow.

Anything? It would be amazing if we could get some kind of test up shortly.andrewwski wrote:I'm on vacation through the weekend. Not sure if the test is on my laptop (which is with me) or my external hard drive (which isn't). I'll take a look tomorrow.

Not to be pushy, but it would be really great if you could get it up ASAP. States are tomorrow.

Re: Materials Science C
Is it on the test exchange yet? I'm not sure if it's just my computer acting weird.
