Re: Forestry B/C
I've developed a few tabbling systems that I really like, and I'm considering making a wiki page (with pictures!) that explain them, since they're somewhat unusual. However, I'm not sure how to create the page.

Re: Forestry B/C
I wouldn't know how to go about doing that. Maybe somebody else will.

Re: Forestry B/C
I have created the page for you, but it is entirely blank, if you need help with the formatting i can help you at school, otherwise just scroll to the bottom of the forestry wiki and click on tabbing tips under see also.
Looking forward to anatomy, protein, fossils, and optics (NYS trial) this year!

Whoa, thanks You're amazing! I'll see you in school, as we continue the mad dash to prepare for Nationals.fantasyfan wrote:I have created the page for you, but it is entirely blank, if you need help with the formatting i can help you at school, otherwise just scroll to the bottom of the forestry wiki and click on tabbing tips under see also.
It should be done soon, but I wouldn't suggest looking at the page until I announce that it's finished.

Re: Forestry B/C
Hi, new here, but just was on this forum and wanted to make this point:
In Ohio typically it's about 60-90 seconds a station, about 3 questions in the station (e.g. scientific name, then 2 other questions) and my typical strategy is to use my giant "cheat sheet" and carry the NWF, which ideally is tabbed and use that for the description questions. The second sheet has all the descriptions of leaves, twigs, et cetera, and also helpful tree terminology. For my second "backup" guide, I use the Sibley since it also has Toyon and Black and Frosted Hawthorns in it.
Also, that hint about the Juglandaceae was really helpful, thanks.

Re: Forestry B/C
Hm. Here in New York, I've mostly seen 1-2 minutes or so.
That's a pretty good plan, expecially if it works for you. Sibley has a lot of writing space, so you can pencil or sharpie (I prefer thin sharpie) notes onto the pages, especially if you have random facts you want to add onto the descriptions in the book.
You're welcome! I checked it against the NWF and Sibley, so hopefully it's correct. Let me know if you catch any errprs/
