Minnesota 2015

Post by haverstall »

This is the official discussion thread for the new Minnesota SO '14-'15 season.

Let's get some actual competitors on this thread, as opposed to old geezers like me.

Hey MN, just a friendly reminder from your neighborhood Minecraft creeper that we're holding a Division B invitational this January. If you're a Div B student, talk to your coaches about competing, and if you're a Div C student, come volunteer with us!

You can get more information at our website.

And not to be impartial, but in response to Fibonacci924, I want Mounds View to win state. Because go Mustangs.

Thanks! There are too many Div. C only competition, and Div. B is as important.

First of all, am I the only actual competitor to go on here? Last year it seemed that there was so much more of us.

Anyway, Gopher is next Saturday! (not this one, but the next one.) Good luck to all teams competing, and I hope to see Chippewa on top.

We're considering it for next year. The only issue is that we're working as a student group, instead of in conjunction with the university. This limits the resources we have and as a result, making a Div B/C tournament is really really difficult. In addition, we currently don't have enough student volunteers so that we could write and proctor every single Div B and C event. Because of these factors, we chose to work only with Div B this year, since outside of Boyceville, there's no other place for Div B teams to practice before Regionals and State.

We will be considering Div C in the future, and we will be posting on the forums once we have decided what route to take next year.

Congrats to Chippewa for almost dominating the top 3 for Gopher. I heard that the results for Meteorology were quite unexpected!

I can't help but give Irondale a shoutout for competing at UWRF as their first competition with 3 people and taking 3rd place in cell biology
