Who was in this event last year? Cause I'm thinking about joining it this year and I want to know what it's like.

i coached it (student coaches) well basicly it's half life science and half basic science skills. You need to learn some basic life sci skills (punnet squares, reading food webs, and using a tax key), but dont freak out about the process part it's mostly measuring and using a microscope and such. If you do alot of life sci events, or know your science skills well i would recomend it. :mrgreen:

my partner and i got 7th at states without even reading the rules..... this is a silly event.

The bio-process people on my team were really good and smart and i thought that they could get 1st in this event but they ended up getting 6th i believe. lots of competition in this event in my state

hmmm on in my state it's like ALL process lab and like 2 thing bio...

This event is really fun! I did it last year and got 1st in the Regionals and 6th in the states. In the states, you do an actual experiment, and in the regionals, you take a test. i reccomend this event!

It will probably be around 45 minutes give or take but it depends on how long your event blocks are. In my state they are 50 minutes so you obvioulsy cant have 10 stations and 5 minutes per station because that would leave no time to like explain the stuff for the event.
