Yup, I think any amount of NIMH or NICAD batteries are good now that the rules have been updated.

Rule 3 b says "a maximum of 8 (eight) AA 1.5-volt common, commercially available batteries, as labeled by the manufacturer. Rechargeable batteries are allowed."cheese wrote:Yup, I think any amount of NIMH or NICAD batteries are good now that the rules have been updated.

I think he meant that you can use any amount of batteries from 1-8. So essentially, running 5 batteries on a 6V motor is allowed (by far the best option).

Are the NiMH batteries ok? In the Hovercraft forum they said we aren't able to because they contain a small quantity of lithium https://system.na3.netsuite.com/core/me ... c&_xt=.pdf
