Re: Illinois 2018
Harlem Invitational:
1. Crystal Lake Central (121)
2. University of Chicago Laboratory (169)
3. Waubonsie Valley (190)
4. Harlem (243)
5. Rockford Christian (258)
6. Lake Central (252)
7. Huntley (286)
8. Willowbrook (311)
9. University of Chicago Laboratory (331)
10. Crystal Lake Central (343)
I recognize Crystal Lake Central as being a state contender, but I don't know anyone else; someone from Illinois will have to analyze.

Re: Illinois 2018
Based off of Palatine, looks like a strong showing. Funnily enough, it seems they did better than we did at conant. The next big illinois invitational is 12/28 at crystal lake central, and that will foreshadow states as a whole a lot more than any other tournament of the year. Solon may also reveal if we can actually compete with Stevenson for the state title this year [Daniel Wright national champion class could be looking to write their names into the history of division C].Unome wrote:Harlem Invitational:

Re: Illinois 2018
This was a surprisingly strong showing by Lab; placing second and beating out Waubonsie Valley?!? That's really surprising given Waubonsie's typically berth at the upper echelon of High School teams and Lab's typical showing. They seem to be much improved this year. Also, though this is my fourth year competing in Illinois C, I've never heard of Lake Central as a contender in the State (and certainly not beating Waubonsie). Did they come out of nowhere, or am I just misremembering prior State competitions?

Re: Illinois 2018
Stevenson won. I do not have the full results, but the superscores were 58 and 87 for them and us respectively. Their lowest, when super scored) was 13th in Fermi and our lowest was 24th in Heli. They got 11 firsts, which is really impressive, and we got 7.
Hopefully the full results are out soon.

Re: Illinois 2018
I just came from COD yesterday and I was surprised by the results in Div.C.
1. Naperville North
2. Crystal Lake Central
3. Hinsdale Central (LOL so many central's)
4. Naperville Central
5. York HS
I was shocked by how Hinsdale Central was beat by Crystal Lake Central and how they also beat out Naperville Central. :shock:These guys are normally top performers at state placing in the top 5 on average. I will say this much. State will get interesting this year.
