What is the Family shown? Alligatoridae (This is a caiman btw) What is the armor covering this specimen called? Scutes What odd dietary habit does this family engage in? They will eat leaves and fruit to supplement their diet

1. Genus - Sistrurus  Family - Viperidae
2. A rattlesnake will start by shedding its skin at a very fast rate and will add a rattle each time it sheds. As the snake gets older the frequency of shedding its tail will decrease and the rattle length will increase at a much slower rate. 
3. These snakes live in marshes, swamps, and other wetlands. 
4. False - This species is considered to be of Least Concern.
