Q: Contrast the Airy Model vs. Pratt Model when dealing with isostasy.
The Airy Model of isostasy assumes that the earth's crust has constant density while the Pratt Model of isostasy allows for different densities of crust - as a result, the Airy Model assumes that different heights of surface crustal features are compensated with a deeper extent of the crust into the mantle, while the Pratt Model assumes that the extent of the crust into the mantle everywhere is equal because the differing weights of the crust are compensated by the different densities of the crust.
Correct!

Obduction is a concept similar to subduction, only oceanic crust goes over the continental crust at a convergent plate boundary. One example of this is New Caledonia.Aight so I guess I'm supposed to put a question again...
Define obduction and provide one example of a situation in which it has occurred or is occurring.
A Ridge-Ridge-Ridge (RRR) Junction?
Yep, your turn.A Ridge-Ridge-Ridge (RRR) Junction?
What did each of the following people contribute to plate tectonics and geology?
1. Abraham Ortelius
2. Marie Tharp
3. Charles Lyell
4. Abraham Gottlob Werner
5. Anton Moro
1. First person to theorize the continents were joined together 2. Used data to create a map of the Atlantic which led to the discovery of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge 3. Popularized work of James Hutton, especially involving uniformitarianism
