Yeah. I've found that they're essential for being both accurate and quick.

Personally I use 45-45-90 triangles (you can make them really fast by folding one side of the corner of a piece of paper to the other side) and then I just align them to the midline/side of the box.

Or you could do what I did and buy them for Staple. pretty sure that they sell them for a very reasonable price. They are good plastic and won't move. Also, due to them having thickness, its very easy to align mirrors, much easier than paper.

What do you guys make your rigs out of? Paper or something else? I personally use paper but I feel like it's too flimsy sometimes.

If you mean the LSS box, we make it out of wood (plywood in specific).

Ah no I meant the templates that people use to position mirrors. I would love to see a laser shoot made out of paper lol.
