Oh, I get it. I thought you were saying there were 15 teams in your region, but you were saying that 15 teams per region go to states, correct?

Well total it does. I think it has about 35 teams for both B and C. Probably a few more for B than C. Are you from Bala Cynwyd Anonomous?

Well I moved from NJ to Wisconsin. I knew NJ is one of the most competitive SO states, probably among the top 10. Community, Montgomery are both national competitors who have done every well. My school got 4th, only about 20 points from 2nd. There I only placed in reach for the stars, a 5th. This year I was so motivated to work harder. At invitationals, I did extremely well. I got 1st in elevated bridge, 1st in ecology, and 2nd in stars. For physical science lab, i messed up and didn't place in the top 3, I started the event a week before competition. Anyway, my team sucked so bad. I got both 1st. There were a total of 3 2nds for the school. I got 1 of those. Then we got 5 3rd. There were only 12 teams. I felt that WI is so uncompetitive compared to other states, i mean the team that went to nationals got 40+. I'm more mad at my team for their lack of dedication and motivation. I started to make tests for people to practice on and am going to start making homework. It still doesn't help enough. I wonder what extent do I have to go in order for my team to start working. The team meets for 2 hours every week and they don't use the time wisely. I spend around 10 hours a week doing SO. States is in a month and I really want to get 1st overall for the team. Any suggestion? I'm already doing 5 events.

Total as in both B and C?

And sr243, I'm sorry to say this, but there's not much more you can do, except talk to your coach. You do have a coach, right?

Yeah sorry, all of the teams combined total about 70. There are about 35 B teams and about 35 C teams. I think there are more teams in B than C. That's the only explanation for why 10 B teams are taken to states and only 7 C teams are.
