### Re: Road Scholar B

If the magnetic declination is 1.2 degrees west and the magnetic bearing is 38. What is the map bearing?
```(n)
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we need the cardinal directions with the bearing in order to calculate it (and you need the cardinal directions for it to be a bearing period, otherwise it’s an azimuth)
Sorry, I'm apparently oblivious, but what is magnetic bearing, because when I google it I just come up with magnetic ball bearings. Or did you just mean bearing?
1. How many sections are in one PLSS township?
2. The bearing S24W translates to what azimuth?
Your second answer is correct but since when is there more than 36 sections in one township?
