If the magnetic declination is 1.2 degrees west and the magnetic bearing is 38. What is the map bearing?

Re: Road Scholar B
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we need the cardinal directions with the bearing in order to calculate it (and you need the cardinal directions for it to be a bearing period, otherwise it’s an azimuth)Anapolis wrote:If the magnetic declination is 1.2 degrees west and the magnetic bearing is 38. Sorry, I'm apparently oblivious, but what is magnetic bearing, because when I google it I just come up with magnetic ball bearings. Or did you just mean bearing?Anapolis wrote:my bad how about N38EAnomaly wrote:Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we need the cardinal directions with the bearing in order to calculate it (and you need the cardinal directions for it to be a bearing period, otherwise it’s an azimuth)Anapolis wrote:If the magnetic declination is 1.2 degrees west and the magnetic bearing is 38. Your second answer is correct but since when is there more than 36 sections in one township?dxu46 wrote:1. 2196hippo9 wrote:1. How many sections are in one PLSS township?
