Your first one is correct, however the 2nd is wrong.
I believe #2 is 32.5° W.

7.5 minutes so the answer to number 2 would be 30 degrees 7 minutes 30 seconds west EDIT: sorry for vagueness in my hint, but I meant that since a USGS quadrangle is 7.5 minutes by 7.5 minutes you could use that to determine the neat line of the neighboring quad

Convert the following azimuths into bearings.
S 34 W
N 52 E
S 9 E
N 18 W
