Okay, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I have to say it given last night’s press release and announcements by SOINC:

I get the appeal of expanding Science Olympiad, but it makes NO SENSE that Ohio is now losing its second bid just because Puerto Rico wants to send a team this year. Ohio has some of the top teams in the entire country, there are literally 4+ teams in Ohio that could easily place top 15 at nats (3 of them top 10) and the fact that now only ONE WILL GO — just because some teams in Puerto Rico want to — is INSANE. This should not be allowed.

Sometimes, when I have nothing better to do, I'll start going through locked threads and see why the mods decided to lock them. I've found some of them are quite humorous, such as this one.
