How are you guys preparing for the written test. Because most of the topics arnt covered in depth in a high school class, but the college books that i have found are probably more difficult than the actual test.

They're not likely to answer this as an FAQ because it is asking about a specific case rather than a general interpretation. In my opinion, wind chimes pretty clearly fall into the category of "toy or professional instruments," especially since bells are explicitly called out as not permitted.

Per rule 3.d, the device must "fit within a 60x60x100cm box when brought into the competition area", which I'm pretty sure is just saying that the device can be no bigger than these dimensions, which they can/will check by using that large of a box as a measuring device.

There's plenty of free/cheap tuner apps on the app store that you can use for testing! I do think at some point in the future there might be links published to the actual apps the judges are going to use, but I'm not 100% on that.

I was wondering, can I use blanks? They are reeds that are not fully shaved so I have to work on them still. They just make it easier than buying normal cane and having to cut it.
