Right? You're Island Trees and qualified for states this year? So Long Island Nassau East? I'm Syosset. Unless there are multiple Island Trees in the US lol
Yes Radiohead is awesome <3 Thom Yorke
I just disliked how most of it was on blood and such, and if it wasn't there were more questions on immune than lymphatic.
Oh yea I saw your sig, your school demolishes everyone every year lol. We did finally qualify states for like the first time in a decade which i'm p excited about but most likely we'll get squished which is an oof.
Also do you happen to know <namedrop> from syosset? He's on your A team I think
uM this stuff probably belongs in the PMs instead of in the anatomy thread...
also relating to immune/lymphatic, lots of questions from my last invite were also more immune than lymphatic in my opinion :/ tbh I dont really know where one system ends and the other begins

What abbreviations will we need to know? Like NFP is net filtration pressure, for example.

GFR = Gross Filtration Rate, know the parts of starling's law, and parts of equations such as EDV = end diastolic volume, PP = Pulse pressure.

sorry in advance if this was previously answered.
but the rules say "Measurement of the pulse rate and blood pressure with appropriate instrumentation" does it mean we need to know about the theoretical part of such a measurement or should we be able to measure it hands on? the intro says written test about the following, so i am assuming it is to answer questions about it, but wanted to double check?

You should know the calculation for pulse rate and blood pressure and what instruments to use. There shouldn't be any hands on testing of heart rate, or not from what I've seen.

Wait, so do they use any other instruments other than the ECG? Also, I can't find any source explaining the Frank-Starling's Law of the Heart. What is it exactly?

To answer your question, I didn't really find 'articles' that I could study and understand, but I did find some videos on youtube, if that helps.
