Guys, make sure we're following site rules here, particularly rules 3 and 4. GabeAtwa, your initial response to the post definitely suggested that some bias was in play, otherwise you would not have brought up the school factor. If you say someone else's (perfectly reasonable) prediction is "laughable", don't be surprised when you get some pushback from other users.

Please enlighten me, when did I say I was surprised?

Personally, I would have to predict these schools as the top 5:
1) Paul J Gelinas
Self-explanatory.
2) Bay // Murphy
This has been the talk for the last few months. Whether Bay Academy gets 2nd, or RC Murphy gets 2nd, it'll be a very, very close match. While it is difficult to tell how much stronger Murphy has gotten in the past year due to a lack of invitational attendings, it is clear that their team is strong and can potentially be strong enough to beat Bay Academy. Bay Academy is a fairly new team (about 5 years into SciOly), but they've showed an impressive amount of results at the invitationals that they've been attending in the past few months. I am very excited to see how this plays out!
3) Bay // Murphy
4) Eagle Hill
They've gotten very close to going to nationals, and have stayed at basically the same strength as last year. They had impressive Cornell results, but it's unlikely for them to surpass RC Murphy or Bay Academy
5) Goff
They have definitely been able to do well in the past, as evident by their 2nd place victory at states last year. However, they've gotten a little bit weaker, and allowed the top teams to improve and take their spot.

Best of luck to all teams that'll attend NY Div B states in just over a week!!

You're smart (presumably). I'm sure you can figure out what I meant.

Does anyone know if they released which maps to bring for Road Scholar? Did they send it out by email or is it on the website?

You guys bring maps? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of competition?

I think I've heard of this happening at other competitions before... although I guess I would agree that it does defeat the purpose of the competition.
