The pericardium is a sac enclosing the heart or surrounding the heart wall, rather than being an actual layer of the heart wall.
oh, okay. But isn't the epicardium part of the pericardium?
The epicardium is the innermost layer of the pericardium
The layers of the pericardium not including the epicardium include great vessels, while the epicardium layer just encloses the heart, making it considered one of the walls of the heart.
oh, okay, thanks. Great vessels as in the great cardiac veins, right?

Coronary circulation branches off from the aorta (part of the great vessels), so it is usually not considered a part

Just a quick question, are the three walls of the heart the epicardium, endocardium, and myocardium or pericardium, endocardium, and myocardium? Because I thought the pericardium was the outermost layer of the heart, but the University of Florida invitational (C) said it was epicardium.
The pericardium is a sac enclosing the heart or surrounding the heart wall, rather than being an actual layer of the heart wall.

epicardium has dual role, functions as the outermost layer of heart wall as well as innermost layer of heart covering (Visceral layer of serous pericardium)

so heart wall - from innermost - endocardium (covers the valves also and is continuous with endothelium of blood vessels)
Myocardium
epicardium
heart coverings (pericardium) from innermost - Visceral layer of serous pericardium (same as epicardium)
Parietal layer of serous pericardium (separated from visceral layer by pericardial space and fluid)
Fibrous pericardium

If anyone's started working on next year's topics, I've got a quizlet set for learning how to identify the muscles on the list from 2016: https://quizlet.com/122679768/anatomy-p ... ash-cards/

Are there any chances that in 2019-2020 anatomy they will do systems that are not skeletal, muscular, etc?

Unlikely. They haven't deviated from the new rotation since it was implemented in 2016.
