I use a level to determine how the floor is angled whenever I test and I've found that the vehicle tends to curve in the direction of the tilt (such that it ends up ~15 cm to one side of the imaginary center line over a distance of 12 m). I realize now that this also might be because the wheels on the non-braking axle have some wiggle room on the hubs.

Is it always the same side of the imaginary line? I'm a bit confused because both sets of wheels on my car have wiggle room to help them spin freely, and I've never experienced curving like that.

It isn't always to the same side, it depends on the test surface. Ex. My school's hallways are all lower on one side, so it will curve to that side. I'm using banebots T40s and there is a little bit of extra space on the hub between the wheel and the snap ring, so the wheel can move slightly on the hub.

I have to disagree about the reason they bombed. My brother blamed it 100% on the sweeper, who obviously did not sweep the floor hard enough for them to sweep the competition.

So, in the context of sweeping the track, something weird happened at my regional that just passed. As my teammate and I started our run, when he began to sweep the track, the event supervisor yelled at him to stop, saying that we were not allowed to do anything to the track past the .5 meter timing line. This is mentioned nowhere in the rules, so I have to assume that this is incorrect, right? In fact, I think this was the reason that we did relatively poorly compared to our testing since we could not have the floors in the conditions we wanted, and I definitely noticed a decent amount of skid that was not at all present beforehand.

Ok Nats ESes have never had a problem with this - basically ur regionals es was wrong ;)
