For build events, Regionals will be trial or not at all as I read this.

For State? It looks like there is a schedule, is that optimistic or will build events happen at State?

I think it’s way too early to say for state. To echo what many people have been saying, it really depends on how the pandemic and cases in Illinois change within the coming months. Although I think ISO will try their very best to give us as close to the full scioly experience as they can (without endangering public health and safety, of course), the inclusion of builds and guidelines for state is really not anything anyone can call until we get a better sense of how covid will be later in the season. From the way I saw it, I think the inclusion of build events into the event block schedule is for the purpose of still recognizing them as official events, even if they aren’t running/run in a modified format at specific tournaments. I don’t think that ISO is implying anything about if builds will be run at state, especially considering that they haven’t announced anything else about the state tournament.
(Inspired by something our coach told our team) Rather than making assumptions or trying to predict the decisions that will be made by ISO, it would probably be better to go into the season with the understanding that things will be constantly changing, and we will have to be flexible and work with those changes. A lot of this season will be having to be flexible and cooperating with the changes that are thrown at us.
We don't talk about Pentathlon.

Dunno tbh. It's hard to tell since anything can happen in 5 months. Though it would be cool to see the builds run as an actual event, it is highly unlikely since regionals will probably run builds as a trial at best. I'd assume that state would then be the same.

ISO will call it based upon how well the situation is ... hopefully sometime in like January-February.

Looks like both New Trier and Stevenson are pretty strong this year, with Stevenson doing better superscore if you don't count their 34 in WIDI. It also looks like New Trier stacked their Grey team, pretty unfortunate that they didn't get a single gold across the 19 events.

Yeah, Stevenson still looks like the team to beat in IL. New Trier usually doesn't stack at Palatine, so it's interesting that they did so here. Also, Naperville North looks less likely to pull off an upset at state than they did last year.

Last year's results for comparison: https://unosmium.org/results/2019-11-23 ... tational_c
