For all Crime Busters test writers out there, I would just like to say something. I know that using photos instead of description can help simulate a real lab better, and I honestly don't think this is a bad idea. However, when using photos, maybe try to zoom in on the crystals of salt, sugar, sodium acetate, etc. so students get a better idea of what that looks like on competition day. Also, please don't use blurry images, as this doesn't help at all. This only makes it harder to see and only takes away from the experience of competitors. Other than those two, there wasn't anything else I wanted to mention using photos for lab test results, but again I may have forgotten something, these are just my thoughts on this idea.
