I have received word that Idaho will be running the mini-invites again this year. However, they will be taken online in a format similar to miniSO and through Zoom. The November events and dates are:

• Disease Detectives B/C, November 5th
• Reach for the Stars B and Astronomy C, November 12th
• Circuit Lab B/C, November 19th

All times are from 7:30 to 8:30pm MST.

Very unfortunate to hear about the cancellation of this year's state tournament. Hopefully all things go well for next season. Not sure what this means for a bid to this year's Nationals, though...

Yep, it's tough. As of right now, the bid system for Nationals is To Be Determined, but it will likely have something to do with the Idaho mini-invites that will be run over the next few months. The competition level in Idaho has just been going down for a few years now, especially in C, and the cancellation was likely partially due to that. Hopefully next year will be a fresh start for Idaho SO.

Correction: Idaho States is not cancelled. The cancellation was for an in-person competition; it will be held virtually on April 24th, 2021.
