How many medals do you have?

This is my first year of Science Olympiad and I have gotten six medals; four from regionals and two from state.

I'm jealous, I have yet to compete at states in my 3 years I've been on my schools B team. Can't wait for my shot at states and hopefully nats.

Well states is hard to get to Gotta be the top team from your school and in the top 3 here.

It all depends on your state. In some states half the teams go because there are so few teams. In bigger states, it's a real challenge.

I'm in NY, and to get to states, you have to be within the top 4 usually at regionals, depending on the amount of teams signed up. This year, I think they sent 5, which was more than ever, and there were 37 teams. In the past it's been 3 that go to states with 25-29 that compete. And there's 8 or 9 really competitive teams, with 3 of them usually unbeatable powerhouses.

For me, going to states would be probably be the same feat as some teams on here going to nationals.

Ok that helps. Here i live in Colorado and it is usually about half of the teams from each reigon go to state and you have to really suck to not qualify for state

Good job. There's a seventh grader on the team who got 14 medals, and this is his first year. 5 from regionals, 5 from state, and 4 from nationals.
