Fossils B/C

Discussion for Fossils B/C.
-The path of the Administrator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

-Nothing\'s gonna get deleted. We\'re gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what\'s Fonzie like? Come on, what\'s Fonzie like?
-Cool?
-Correctamundo. And that\'s what we\'re gonna be. We\'re gonna be cool. Now, I\'m gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your mouse, and back away from the keyboard. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three.

There is the whole list to change, they could completely revamp the list if they wanted to. The thing is, they don't want to, and because of that the new fossils list will almost without a doubt be either identical, or extremely similar to the old list.

Also, the lists for ID events generally come out on the SOINC site before the rules are sent out to teams. I would hope and expect that lists for both Fossils and Ornithology would come out this month.
Events: Herpetology, Fossils, Entomology, Rocks & Minerals, Ornithology, Ecology
Nationals 2008: 1st in Herpetology
Nationals 2009: 1st in Herpetology, 2nd in Fossils

I highly doubt that the list is gonna be much different than last years, it rarely changes.

Usually these lists are the same with between 1-5 replaced.

But there's still a chance they'll completely change it when you least expect it, so I wouldn't stop studying just because you think it will be almost the same as last year.

Im just saying, from my experience, the list usually barely changes.
The previous year had a list very similar to the one used four years ago. The only real differences were less birds, a few more reptiles, the removal of Calymene (trilobite) and Bellerophon (gastropod), and very few other changes.

Well, that's good. At least you won't have to memorize pages of new fossils every year.

That's usually the point of having the limited changes.
