I like building events. Although it takes a long time, It is just so much more fun, because everyone wants to help you, even if it's just holding a piece of wood or screwing a nail. It's a nice feeling. Besides, if you take care to do enough research work, it is actually hard for something go wrong. Persay, you forgot a wrench to tune your instrument, that is no worse than forgetting a pair of goggles for forensics.

That should be part of the "emergency" kit. Maybe not an extra tower, but everything else is a good idea for building events. I wouldn't feel comfortable going without a few sticks of balsa and a toolbox with CA, extra batteries (for EV) and an extra 555, sandpaper, pens/pencils, protractor, calculator, carpenters glue, etc. A million extra motors for WS and some tape and tissue for last minute repairs. Might as well throw in a soldering iron and stuff too. Always better to be prepared.

Another Western Long Islander! WOOH!

Just noting for everyone, be lucky of some of the regionals or district competitions you compete in to get to states. In Western Long Island alone the amount of teams tops out around 60!!!!! 60 teams for 7 or 8 spots . . .

ITS ALWAYS ABSOLUTE MADNESS!
