Interestingly, the 3rd place teams in both divisions had less medals than is typical for their scores and ranks - Harriton with 7 and Community with 5. Notably, Community finished between 7th and 11th in 13 different events.
Awards was a roller coaster from start to finish. The score predictor spreadsheets had us between 6th and 15th at various times. Many events we hoped to medal in...we didn't. In the end though, consistency did pay off.
We thought we placed 11th again like last year. You can tell by our coach's reaction on stage lmfao.

I am incredibly impressed by Mason's national showing. They probably are the best performing first-time nationals team ever. It looks like Ohio may have four powerhouse teams in the years to come, if Mason can keep the momentum from a strong nationals showing.

Congrats to the winners of C, Troy!

Actually, Troy won the first time they went to nats, but otherwise this may be true, and it certainly is when applying to 2000 and beyond.
Last year I knew stuff about rocks, minerals, experiments, and ecosystems, yay!
Now I know stuff about amphibians, reptiles, water, and more experiments, yay again!
I'm planning to learn stuff about oceanography, fossils, and more water, yay for the third time!

Not the first time, only after not making nats once.

 haven’t seen this come up yet tho...I’ll just keep quiet and wait till someone else starts it if they want to since I have nothing to ask (unless I want to know my scores from 2016 nats, which would be utterly pointless at this time)
