Re: Rule Sheet During Event
Competitors are not allowed to have theirs out. Some event supervisors provide a copy of the rubric to all teams though. Refer to rule 2.aaron@lhs wrote:Are teams allowed to have their rule sheet out during the competition? More specifically, the experimental design checklist on the back of the experimental design rules.

For binder events, it wouldn't hurt to have a copy of the rules in the binder, but as a general rule, you're not allowed to bring out the rulebook during the competition, ESPECIALLY for experimental design, seeing as the purpose of that is to memorize the rubric to write the best report as possible without having the guidelines in front of you.

Re: Rule Sheet During Event
Which is why MO Region 6 is in need of event supervisors who a. don't PROVIDE rulesheets FOR THE COMPETITORS and b. actually follow the rules and have the half-half division...Anomaly wrote:n o NO.aaron@lhs wrote:Are teams allowed to have their rule sheet out during the competition? Re: Rule Sheet During Event
The rules list the things that you may bring in to the event with you. For binder events, "any information from any source" includes the event rules. For Experimental design, you may bring googles, writing utensils, one timepiece, one ruler, and one calculator.aaron@lhs wrote:Are teams allowed to have their rule sheet out during the competition? The rules sheet is not on that list.

No, typically, teams are not allowed to have their rule sheet or any external references out during the competition.aaron@lhs wrote: ↑March 5th, 2019, 12:45 pm Are teams allowed to have their rule sheet out during the competition?
