I started with bridges last year and now I am working on Division B towers. I am okay, last year for bridges I won 10th out of 44 at regionals ( NY)

Weighs- 29.5g

Weight Supported- 13,800g

Made of - Bass wood
-Medium Viscosity Zap Glue

Measurements - Between each brace 10 cm
- base is 16.5cm x 16.5cm
- top is 4.5 cm x 4.5cm

And without further ado ........

What I would like to know

No offence but I wanted a bit more specific advise

Can you upload your tower to the image gallery? I can't see it right now.
Use less glue. What size pieces are you useing? Try useing balsa to lessen the weight.

I am using about 3/32" x 3/32" but for some areas it is slightly thicker/ thinner

As an example the four central columns are thicker

Most of us use 1/16 for bracing and 1/8 for the legs. I would recomend this

Try looking through the image gallery. Simple pyramidic base and square chimney works best.
