The 2022-23 season is here!


Coaches' clinic - in person at Southeast Raleigh High School, October 7-8

Invitational tournaments

UNC-Chapel Hill Invitational (C) - in person, January 28
Duke University Science Olympiad (C) - February 4

As always, teams registered with North Carolina Science Olympiad may register for any invitational tournaments across the nation.

East Carolina regional - ECU

Asheville regional - UNC-Asheville
Greensboro regional - UNC-Greensboro

New for this year
  • I know I'm one of many who is grateful for Kim Gervase's dedication for many years at North Carolina Science Olympiad, and we're sad to you go. We'll never forget the way you inspired so many, and we wish you all the best wherever your journeys go! In turn, please welcome the new executive director for North Carolina Science Olympiad, Lisa Giacomelli!
  • Some events will not be run at regional tournaments, and will only appear at the state tournament.
    • Can't Judge a Powder, Experimental Design, Fast Facts, Meteorology, Road Scholar, and Sounds of Music will not be run at regionals for Division B.
    • Detector Building, Environmental Chemistry, Experimental Design, Fermi Questions, It's About Time, and WiFi Lab will not be run at regionals for Division C.
