Western Long Island, NY

Just a discussion where Western Long Islanders can just hop on the computer and talk with one another. I mean 60 teams in one regional, there has to be someone on this website from Western Long Island other than me haha.

Yup. There's me, and i think there are a few more. This is my first year in Div C so i haven't been those competitions yet, but it is pretty crazy from what i've heard. We probably have the most teams at a single competition. At the div B comp we have about 39 which is stil a lot but nothing compared to 60+.

What school?

Yea Division C is way different. Down in Division B, Wisdom Lane's up there every year (I went there) and now the high school can't break top 10. This year's the year though!!!

How many people are going to invitationals?
Sounds really cool, wish our school went. We could earn a lot more medals and those who go, have an advantage because they can see a little of the competition.

By the way, love Avatar. Great show

It would be cool if we went to invitations but the nearest one to us is like what, Ohio. So yeah we don't go; or at least our team doesnt.

Well there brining it back. It says for Div B
1st annual Division B invitational, Saturday, January 10, 2009
and for Div C
On January 17, 2009, Pal-Mac will be hosting the first Science Olympiad Midwestern Regional Invitational Tournament. This Invitational is open to S.O. Teams from across the State.
and the other Div C one is in a different state and on the same day and doesn't say anything about if it's their first one.

I hope that I go one of them, we never had an invitational before at least since the time i started SO.
