Maglev Front1078 viewsBuffalo Grove High School's Maglev. Made from 35mm RC Venom fireball 13X2 motor, duct fan, 3D printed chassis, high discharge battery and switch. Ball bearings were added on sides to lessen surface area and friction with the track. Nails and sheet lead were used as weights. Mrsteven

Uses a venom fireball 13x2 motor with duct fan, ball bearing sliders, switch and high discharge batteries (not shown). Completes a 95 cm run in .6 seconds with a 1 kg mass. Mrsteven

MagLev car, 2014570 viewsThis is for the cage. It's 1/8'' wire mesh "sewed" together to make a cage. There is copper wire as the connecting wire, used in a looping fashion to hold together the mesh pieces. Once built, the propellor shaft went on one side, and we put and attached the propeller to the inside, so we had the rule about not being able to touch the propeller safely covered
