Central Bucks High School South is currently led by coaches Matthew Timmins and Helena Buzin. CB South opened and began competing in Science Olympiad in 2005. South has missed the Pennsylvania state competition by very small margins in several years - having missed by only two places in 2008 and achieving States in 8th place at the Southeastern regional in 2009 - due to technicalities and the reduction of qualifying teams to 7, however, the school was not able to attend States that year. At the 2010 Southeastern regional, the team once again came very close to states but finished again in 8th place. In 2011, South repeated as an 8th place team at regionals; due to a shift in the amount of teams moving on to states, however, Central Bucks South was able to make their first appearance at the PA State Competition.
In 2017, South placed sixth at the SEPA regional tournament and qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2011.
In 2019, CB South competed in the Central East Pennsylvania Regional, along with all the other Bucks County teams. In 2020, they registered to return south to compete in the new Southeast North Pennsylvania Regional.
