Talk:Centerville High School

I applaud Tailsfan101 for his myriad of contributions to make the SciOly wiki a more complete and comprehensive resource, but I'm not sure a disambiguation page here is called for. Right now, 35 pages have links to this disambiguation page, while only two pages link to the actual article about Centerville High School in Ohio. If we keep this disambiguation page, all 35 of those other articles have to be changed just to make up for the fact that there is a school in Montana with the same name as one in Ohio, even though most people will be looking to reference the school in Ohio. This is also an itching hindrance for those who are new to the SciOly wiki or who don't know about this change, as it may be annoying that they have to pass through this disambiguation page every time just to get to the Centerville Ohio article.

For multiple topics with the same name, Wikipedia will give the name to the most well-know topic, and the others have the clarifications in parentheses. So, searching up "John F. Kennedy" on Wikipedia takes you directly to the page for the former president, even though, as we all know, he is also an airport, a train robber, a horse, a very big troll, and a high school that got 8th place in Water Quality at the NY State Tournament. I suggest we do something similar so that searching "Centerville High School" takes us directly to the article about the nationals virtuoso from Ohio, while leaving a note on the top of the page along the lines of Centerville redirects to Centerville High School (Ohio); for the team in Montana, see Centerville High School (Montana). gz839918 (talk) 22:04, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

A bit long-winded, but I agree with the overall sentiment. ;) The disambiguation page has been changed to a redirect. EastStroudsburg13 (talk) 03:47, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
