Regional List in Template vs Regional List on Pages

When making this template, there are two routes that could be taken. (To be clear, this template was made for adding a list of a state's regionals at the bottom of a wiki page (similar to Template:PA Regions, but for any state))

1. The script is called with every regional, on every regional page.

This code would be added to every regional page in Florida: {{State Regions|state=Florida|r1name=Southeast|r1wiki=Southeast Florida Regional|r2name=South|r2wiki=South Florida Regional ...}}

2. The template page actually holds a list of each state's regionals, and the template is called only with the name of the state.

This code would be added to every regional page in Florida: {{State Regions|state=Florida}}

The template then pulls the list of Florida's regions from its code, and makes the template.

Both will have the same result, and I am wondering which path to take. Putting the list of every state's regionals in the template code makes it quicker to update if regionals are created or if some are decommissioned. However, doing that could make it harder or more confusing for wiki editors to update, and the template code would be long. Pepperonipi (talk) 18:00, 5 August 2019 (UTC)

I believe it would be best to move forward with Option 2 for simplicity. If anyone still has any other thoughts about this template, please put them here! Pepperonipi (talk) 20:59, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
