Wyoming Area Middle School is a consistently successful team in the Northeast region of Pennsylvania. They have placed in the top 3 of the Northeast region each year since 2006 except 2012, in which Wyoming Area was unable to send a team due to school budget issues. Nevertheless, they returned in 2013 to reclaim a place at states.

In 2008, Wyoming Area broke Stroudsburg Junior High School's lengthy reign of regional dominance by placing first in the region. It was their only regional championship until they won again in 2014.
