Colorado is a fairly bigg state for SO. We do not have trial events but instead all regionals and the state compition do all 23 events and they follow the rules.

Past State Champs

In B a school does very well for years but then a new schools comes and take 1st. In C it started off with Ft Collins but then Pouder got 1st and kept it that way for years.(chart to come)

Info for events

this is from my personal experince

science word/ picture this- the words are almost always easy one so speed is the key in these events

crimebusters- well rune but ALWAYS bring droppers with you they dont have any even tho it says so in the rules

ex. desgin- very open ended nothing really specific

WIDI- no legos or any other building kits here, here styrofoam and pipcleaners are favorites

rocks/fossils- many stations identification is HEAVLY tested

food science- always two or more labs at regionals states is always a test

tech events- relavtivly easy compared to other states but make sure your in the first teir almost half of all things enters are not in this
