Template:InvitationalInfoBox The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Tournament, often shortened to the EPC Tournament, is a closed C Division tournament held at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA. The tournament is contested between the 18 members of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, a scholastic athletic conference in the Lehigh Valley and Southern Poconos.

History

Local tournaments have been hosted at Northampton Community College since 1999. At the time, the tournament hosted teams from two neighboring athletic conferences: the Lehigh Valley Conference (LVC), which consisted of schools from the Allentown area, and the Mountain Valley Conference (MVC), which consisted of schools from the lower Poconos. Each tournament would crown three medalists from each conference for each event, and a team champion for each conference, and then an overall champion for the entire tournament.

Starting in the 2014-2015 season, the LVC and MVC combined in all sports to form the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, a larger 18-team league. The tournament still runs as before, but instead simply crowns four medalists for every event and one single champion.

Historically, the tournament has only run for the morning, to ensure that students can return to their schools early enough to have transportation home. This means that only 10 events are usually run, which generally consist of 3 build events and 7 lab/study events.
