Highview Middle School, located in New Brighton, Minnesota, first competed during the 2011-2012 school year, when it finished in 9th place at the state tournament. In 2012-2013, the team competed in the Boyceville Invitational and the Wright State Invitational, before going on to win 1st place at the Providence Academy regional tournament and 3rd place at the State Tournament. In 2013-2014, the team competing in the Boyceville Invitational and the UW-Madison Badger Invitational, before going on to win 2nd place at the Mounds View regional tournament and 2nd place at the State Tournament.
Highview Middle School feeds into eight-time Division C state champion Mounds View High School as well as Irondale High School, which does not currently compete in Science Olympiad. Mounds View High School's other feeder middle school is Chippewa Middle School.
