Massachusetts is known for A.W. Coolidge Middle School's frequent appearances at Nationals (22 times). However, in 2005, Ephraim Curtis Middle School advanced to the national competition ending Coolidge's long winning streak. Massachusetts is known for doing well at nationals, especially in the building events.
