Missouri is a very competetive state, having many teams. It has sent two teams to nationals for 12+ years, where they usually do well, scoring as high as third place overall.

History

Missouri has sent two teams to nationals from both divisions for several years. Missouri tend to fare strongly at the national tournament, often netting top-20 finishes.

In 2010, Missouri talked about adjusting districts so that 95% of teams were within 75 minutes of their regional competition. This plan was put on hold, but will be brought back up in 2011. Science Olympians in Missouri should pay attention to these potential developments for next year. Here are the current districts in Missouri:
