Piedmont IB Middle School is a Division B school in North Carolina. The program was started in 2009 and in 2011 made it to the national competition in Wisconsin placing 32nd. A year later in 2012 Piedmont came in 1st at the North Carolina 2012 state competition and placing 20th in the nation at UCF. In 2013 Piedmont placed 2nd in the state and coming in 23rd in the nation at Wright State University. This past year during the 2013-14 season, Piedmont Middle put up a record low point total at states (96) placing 1st. At the National competition at UCF, Piedmont placed 9th in the nation!
