Spackenkill High School is a small school with an enrollment of about 600 students located in New York. Despite their relatively small student body, Spackenkill has placed four times at State level and attended Nationals twice in its fourteen year history.

Spackenkill's Science Olympiad program is fairly large for such a small school, normally consisting of 30 or more students, meaning nearly 5% of the school participates in the program. Due to the large number of students Spackenkill will normally send 2 teams to an Invitational and a Regional tournament. Placement at these tournaments usually determines which students will be brought to the State tournament and which students will be cut.
