State College Area High School is a team located in State College, Pennsylvania. It currently competes in the Central region, but has competed in the Northwest region in the past. It is fed by Park Forest Middle School and Mount Nittany Middle School, both of which have thriving Science Olympiad teams.

History

State College has had significant success in its history, especially in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This period of success began in 1997, when the team won states for the first time and made its first nationals appearance. After this, it proceeded to place second for five straight years, losing each time to Harriton High School, who have only lost once since. Though it has not qualified for nationals since 2002, it continues to be a force at states competitions.
