Template:Infobox event - Documentation
For use as infoboxes on event pages.
Parameters:
- active - ONLY include this parameter if the event is being held for the current season. The title bar will change to green to signify that the event is currently being held. It doesn't matter what the parameter contains, as long as it has something, although the typical usage is to set it to yes, for less ambiguity.
- type - This is the type of event, as determined by the rules committee whose jurisdiction the event falls under. The types are (abbreviated for formatting): Life Science, Earth Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Inquiry.
- cat - This is the category the event falls under on the forum home page (Build, Lab, or Study)
- Forum thread parameters, of the format "2020thread" - These are for links to the event thread for particular years. The parameter value should be in the form of an external link, in wiki markup. Omit the parameter if there was no forum thread (either regular or trial) in that year.
- Question marathon thread parameters, of the format "2020questions" - For Question Marathon threads. Use exactly like forum threads. Note that even though there wasn't a question marathons subforum in 2012 and 2013, there are still threads for some events from that time. For the 2020 season, this will link to the new test exchange.
- Test Exchange link parameters, of the format "2019tests" - For linking to the wiki-based text exchange. The parameter value should be the year - e.g. "|2019tests=2019". Parameters exist from 2012 onward, but only the two most recent years will show up in the infobox.
- This parameter is not supported for the 2020 season, since the site has moved to the new test exchange. This parameter will continue to work for 2019 and earlier, as these will be the years shown in the template.
- Image gallery links, of the format "2020gallery" - For linking to the Image Gallery. Use exactly like the forum and question marathon parameters. Note - this parameter currently does not need to be updated annually. This may change if the Image Gallery is resurrected.
- testsArchive - Works like the parameter "active". Should have a value (typically "true") for all events with a section in the Test Exchange Archive.
- B Champion - This is the winner of the event in Division B for most recent season the event was run.
- 2ndBName - This is the 2nd place runner up in Division B for the most recent season the event was run.
- 3rdBName - This is the 3rd place runner up in Division B for the most recent season the event was run.
- C Champion - The same as above but for Division C.
- 2ndCName - This is the 2nd place runner up in Division C for the most recent season the event was run.
- 3rdCName - This is the 3rd place runner up in Division C for the most recent season the event was run.
