Cheese is a division B competitor who specializes in building events. He started science olympiad in the 2017 season and earned the right to nationals in his first year. He started Science Olympiad in 7th grade and is currently in 8th grade at Chippewa Middle School (Minnesota).
In the 2018 season, he placed 1st at Boyceville Invitational in Towers with a score of 2180.12 beating out both Daniel Wright Junior High School teams.
