Sciolyperson1 competes on the West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North Science Olympiad team in New Jersey as a junior. In his 7th-9th grade years, he competed on the Community Middle School team for 3 years, and was the captain of the team in his 9th grade year. Although he competes in mostly building events, he does a bit of inquiry, including Write It Do It and Experimental Design as a filler. In 10th grade, Sciolyperson1 volunteered to write Road Scholar tests for invitationals such as Rustin Invitational, Jeffrey Trail Invitational and others. In his junior year due to the presence of online tournaments, he ran Write It CAD It and other building events, such as Gravity Vehicle and Mission Possible at competitions.

Sciolyperson1 often goes by "JC" or "JC01010" on other platforms, such as discord or sometimes IRC.
