Wilmington Academy of Arts and Science has competed in the Wilmington Regional Competition of North Carolina for 5 years. In 2014, they placed 5th in the Wilmington Region, and moved on to the state competition. In 2015, they placed 1st in the Wilmington Region and placed 5th in the state. Their biggest achievement is placing 2nd at States (177 points), advancing to the National Tournament in Cornell University, and placing 25th in 2019.
